Macro Panoramas are an ideal photographic task for the SB01 stitching adapter.  It is possible to create seamless stitches in excess of 100 Mpixels using upto 33 individual DSLR frames.  This is impossible to achieve with other panoramic techniques such as revolving pano heads, and lens shift movements with a tilt/shift adapter.

With a view camera it is possible to use extremely precise optics such as the Apo-Ronar series optimized for flat field, and distortion free imaging at 1:1 magnifications.  Typically these lenses are used in process cameras and do not come equipped with shutters.  Now it is possible to put these lenses to work on demanding macro subjects, while using automatic shutter control and TTL metering in the DSLR camera.
